Cannot be combined with the Plus Second Mortgage or Closing Cost Assistance Grant.

    Up to 5% of purchase price for down payment; borrowers with a 680+ credit score may finance an additional ~1.5% for closing costs (total up to ~6.5% above/toward purchase price). First-time or repeat homebuyers; paired with an eligible Virginia Housing first mortgage (FHA, Conventional, or non-bond Conventional without MI); household income within Virginia Housing limits; within sales-price/loan limits. Designed to eliminate the cash-to-close down payment. Higher income limits than the grant. Not combinable with the DPA Grant.

  • Virginia Housing Closing Cost Assistance (CCA) Grant

    Grant toward closing costs (percentage varies). Qualified first-time homebuyers using an eligible Rural Housing Service (USDA) or VA loan through Virginia Housing; income/sales-price limits apply. Especially relevant to VA-loan and rural buyers.
